Finally,
drummers can practice Our practice drum Pads are designed to fill certain needs for drummers of all levels. With the goal of enhancing conventional design, while being careful to maintain the highest level of quality and playability, MadPadz Percussion Products created the MadPad.
The MadPad is a rubber surface type pad, as opposed to the drumhead type, making it very quiet. The playing surface is a circular pad measuring 5 1/2" in diameter. The thickness of the pad is 1/4", with a 35 durometer (hardness) level, which has proven to have the feel preferred by most players. The density of the polycarbonate plastic used for the body provides a firm base, resulting in a stable, solid, realistic feel that is not too bouncy. By maintaining the size of the playing surface with the innovative body design, and utilizing the commonly desired rubber pad properties, the MadPad provides ample playing space, with the solid feel that drummers want in a practice pad.

One of the primary features of the MadPad is its high level of portability. It is designed to be as small and light as possible, while still maintaining proper playing characteristics. The round body provides a full 5 1/2" of playing area, but the streamlined design, with no excess rim material, results in an overall diameter of just 5 3/4", which is much smaller than other pads with the same size playing area. The efficient body design is the key to the MadPad's portability.
The MadPad has been designed to be supported using all the various methods commonly employed by pad manufacturers, without sacrificing playability, portability, or size. The exclusive, patented strapping system provides a comfortable, secure fit while strapped to your thigh, making the pad as easy to use as reading a book. The interchangeable feet, with the non-slip rubber pads enable the pad to be played on a table, floor, or other flat surface. The Velcro feet eliminate any bounce that might occur on a hard, flat surface, but also enable the pad to be held in a variety of positions - at any angle - even sideways. The possibilities with this feature are endless. The MadPad also has the hex nut underneath for securing to a stand.
